Where to start?

If you don't know what social bookmarking is you should do a search for it in Google to learn the basics of what it means. Most folks do know though at least from Facebook or StumbleUpon. Basically it is a site where you put up a page about yourself then start making friends with the same interests. There is a lot more to it but for now we'll start there.That doesn't sound too hard does it?
Ok on to your first page. For this we'll use StumbleUpon. Decide whether or not you want to join with a personal ID or business. If you want to network and get folks to visit your site or blog, I suggest doing a business page. Go to
Stumbleupon/ and click on the big orange button to sign up

. While you are there download the stumble toolbar, big green button. You will be glad you did. I'm sure I don't have to walk you through this part as it probably isn't your first time joining a website. Just follow the screens. You can always edit your information later on. After you join and finish your page, start stumbling using the toolbar you downloaded. One of the big secrets is to be sure and add top stumblers in each category as friends. Stumble photos,videos and sites. Add quality comments on the sites you visit and do quality reviews. You will see some good traffic to your blog or site if you do things this way.

Comment by Vicky Anglin on April 8, 2008 at 5:43pm: Let's do it John or better yet maybe just add our sites to a list that we all can go into and bookmark. I have the SocialMarker.com site button in my toolbar and can hit it to add posts and sites to a large list of bookmarking sites.
